Mimiru and Bear confront BT about setting up Tsukasa, but she denies her responsibility, claiming Mimiru was Tsukasa’s informant, not her. Meanwhile, Subaru tries to get Tsukasa to open up and inform her of what has been going on. He explains his game character has senses. For instance, he can smell her cologne and feel pain. Subaru tells him she’ll let him go free if he promises not to do anything rash.
Mimiru, still feeling guilty about her role in Tsukasa’s capture, partners with Sora to free him. Sora physically hacks and slashes his way through the Knight guards to the confinement area where Subaru holds Tsukasa captive and asks Subaru to free Tsukasa. She refuses the request but when Tsukasa asks for permission to leave, she allows him to join Sora.
As Sora and Tsukasa exit, Kurim arrives and initiates a battle with Sora. Tsukasa leaves alone, but Mimiru soon joins up with him. She attempts to apologize for her perceived involvement in his capture, but Tsukasa tells her to leave him alone. Sadly, Mimiru asks if Tsukasa dislikes her. He replies that he does – that he doesn’t believe she has his best intentions at heart and that everyone is selfish. He explains that he doesn’t understand himself, nor does he have time to understand others. After his childish outbreak, he teleports back to his sanctuary.
Meanwhile, Subaru explains to Kinkan that she let Tsukasa go free. Kurim also points out that Kinkan is too weak to protect Subaru in his condition. Subaru reprimands him – and tells him not to interfere.
A message appears on the BBS. Tsukasa guardian has appeared without him and is attacking players. Subaru orders several servers to be shut down and starts an inquiry into Tsukasa’s role in the series of events.
