Tsukasa is still in a dark place, his bed appears blackened if burned by fire. Helba summons him to join the others at teh gate.

The main characters meet up, banter, and reveal the reasons why they will participate. They leave before Tsukasa arrives, but Kurim stays behind. When Tsukasa shows up, Kurim gives him a pep talk and describes how Subaru has persevered no matter what. She plays the game despite her limitations – not to escape reality or relieve stress – but to take responsibility. Kurim asks Tsukasa to face his fears and take responsibility for his choices.

In a flashback, two people sit in chairs upside down. A man comes in and hits one of them. A bra and a thermometer (?) fall to the floor.

Sora chooses not to visit Helba’s Gate, preferring to revisit Tsukasa’s sanctuary. He contemplates using the Key of the Twilight.

Bear, Mimiru, Kurim, Subaru, BT, and Ginkan wait for Tsukasa to join them. Helba’s Gate opens and one-by-one they teleport. Tsukasa stays behind alone in the shrine and cries. He doesn’t want to go, but Subaru believes he will show up so she waits for him.
