This episode begins as a naked girl named Lucy uses what seem to be her psychic powers to explode the nearby guards and make her escape. Drawn out and bloody, we watch her deflect all the guards' bullets and effortlessly kill them on her way out the door. This is apparently some top secret military base where they perform experiments on humanoids. What's peculiar about this intro scene is that Lucy kills all guards in her way but leaves Chief Kurama intact. Perhaps he's immune?
Regardless, Lucy makes her way out the exit and onto a cliff overlooking an ocean. In a last ditch effort to stop this crazy chic, Kurama summons a sniper to kill the girl before she can murder anyone else. He shoots and hits the side of her face, but she manages to survive and tumbles off the cliff into the water below.
Yuka waits at Gokurakuji Station for her childhood friend, Kohta, to arrive. She spots him in the distance making his way to the ocean and the two head down to the beach to reminisce. The last time they were there, his little sister, Kanae, was collecting sea shells.
Yuka interrupts his thoughts to point out the naked girl standing in the water before them. It's Lucy, but she doesn't seem nearly as menacing now. The two try to approach her, but she quickly darts in the opposite direction, only to trip and start crying. Yuka demands Kohta give this poor girl a shirt to wear, so he slips his off and soon the girl is semi-clothed. They then inspect Lucy to find two horns atop her head. Kohta seems to remember something about her and stares horrified for a moment until Yuka snaps him out of the flashback.
The three head to Kaede House, where Kohta will be living while attending college. Yuka even worked out a deal - as long as he cleans the 10 rooms and garden every day, he can live there rent free!
Inside, Kohta examines a broken grandfather clock until Lucy runs around frantically. When the two can't understand why she's upset, she sits down and pees on the floor. Annoyed, Kohta cleans up the floor while
