Continuing with the flashback in the previous episode, chibi Kohta hears the sound of chibi Lucy's music box and walks up to Lucy. She's defensive at first but calms down when he tells her that her horns are cool and asks if she'd like to be friends. He's visiting relatives so he would like a playmate for the next few days. When she refuses, he tells her he'll come back tomorrow. She should wait for him.
Meanwhile, the talk of the town is of the children murdered violently in the children's home. One girl is missing and police are searching the area.
The next day, Lucy returns to where she met Kohta, but he's not there. She hides as two police officers walk past. Last night, a whole family was slain so with a killer on the loose, there's not much time to search for the missing girl. Lucy wallows in self pity - Kohta's not coming. She knew she couldn't trust him.
Just as Lucy's about to leave, Kohta walks up and hands her a hat. He explains that if people make fun of her horns, she should just hide them. She then notices his knee is bruised. He explains that he banged it sneaking out of his house. His father forbid him from leaving the house as long as the killer was still out there.
Lucy and Kohta spend the rest of the day together. She asks why he was out in the woods. He explains that he likes drawing, so he came here to sketch the scenery. He spotted her looking lonely and liked the song playing on the music box so he decided to come talk to her.
Around dusk, Kohta heads home and Lucy must find some place to stay for the night. She scopes out a home and heads inside. When the father arrives home to a dark house, she slaughters him too. This can be her temporary residence for awhile.
Three days later, Lucy is lamenting that she hasn't seen Kohta when he appears and wants to hang out. He'll be leaving tomorrow night but didn't want to go without saying goodbye.
Lucy and Kohta spend most of the day at the zoo and have a blast until Lucy overhears too people talking about the latest murder. She snaps and her two alter egos converse in her head. Devil Lucy says it's time to kill again. Angel Lucy asks why - why must she think like that? Devil Lucy responds that if she doesn't kill them, the humans will kill her some day. Angel Lucy retorts that she can't kill innocent people. Devil Lucy responds that it's her destiny. Angel Lucy screams shut up.
Kohta sees Lucy holding her head and leads her to a spring where he splashes her with water. She angrily splashes back, but the water battle quickly turns playful. Dripping wet, they hang their clothes to dry and sit back to back. Kohta hums the music box tune while Lucy confesses that she's never had such a fun day in her whole life.
On the bus ride home, Lucy asks Kohta if she can come to the festival with him. He apologizes but he promised his cousin that he'd go. She asks if his cousin is female but the conversation is interrupted when the bus hits a bump. Lucy's inner voice takes over and encourages her to kill Kohta. If she doesn't, he'll break her heart. She opens her eyes to find her hands wrapped around his neck. She breaks her grasp and Kohta takes it in stride. Tearfully, she asks him to kill her if she can't stop killing others.
Later, Lucy hums the music box tune as she and Kohta gaze out at the ocean. He tells her that his family will be coming back next year. They can see each other then. She then asks if his cousin is a boy or girl. He lies - a boy. She laughs and says she'll see him off tomorrow night.
The next day, Lucy goes to the festival looking for Kohta. She's decided that if she sees him, she'll muster up the courage to tell him how she feels. Through the crowd, she spots him with his cousin - a girl. Heartbroken, she stares until a man knocks her down. Her inner voice takes over and soon, she's imagining Kohta telling her that he likes watching weird animals - her. Her inner voice rants on - humans don't have to tell her the truth. She has nothing. She's completely alone. It then explains that she has tremendous power and could remake the world. Whispering a quick goodbye to Kohta, Lucy explodes and kills everyone within reach.
In the present, Lucy awakens. Nana's come back. She gives Nana a look of death.
